I agree with you in that I don't believe that these first microchips are the mark. (They are already being implanted in people around the world - check it out here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/3697940.stm) However, I do believe that it does have something to do with the technology that will be used by the antichrist during the tribulation.
